Pilbara Dawn

Pilbara Dawn is from my memories of the time I lived in the desert prospecting for gold. The temperatures are extreme and the heat glows off the rugged landscape. The desert has its own unique beauty and breathtaking colours of red, orange, ochre.

The Pilbara is a large, dry, thinly populated region in the north of Western Australia. It is known for its Aboriginal peoples; its ancient landscapes; the red earth; and its vast mineral deposits, in particular iron ore and gold. It is also a global biodiversity hotspot for subterranean fauna and flora.

Living in this region was an adventure never to be forgotten.
